Exciting new art event
A swarm of 40 colourful bee sculptures, each standing over 6 feet high, will bee installed through the streets, parks and places of interest in the centre of Chelmsford for 10 weeks.
Whether you’re a local or visitor, this exciting art event will encourage you to get out, bee active and enjoy spending time together in our buzzing city!
Support Farleigh Hospice
Our swarm will be sponsored by local and national businesses and uniquely designed by an artist. After the trail the bees will be auctioned off and the money raised will help Farleigh Hospice to provide specialist care, free of charge to people affected by life-limiting illnesses and bereavement in Chelmsford and across mid Essex.
An integral part of the art trail will be our mini bees. Designed by schools, youth groups and community groups, they will become part of the swarm displayed around Chelmsford for everyone to admire and enjoy.
